Supplement manufacturer creates Buzz

East-Yorkshire company Bee Health Ltd (www.beehealth.com), the leading UK vitamin, mineral and supplement manufacturer, has celebrated a period of dramatic growth by being named one of the 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain in a new London Stock Exchange Group report.

The report is a celebration of the UK’s fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium sized businesses across the UK. To be included in the list (www.1000companies.com), companies needed to show consistent revenue growth over a minimum of three years, significantly outperforming their industry peers.

Bee Health produces over 100 million capsules and tablets a week, at its 80,000 sq. ft. state of the art facility, for customers in over 40 countries. The company has recently doubled the size of its manufacturing site in Bridlington creating more warehousing, a new packing hall and 80 new jobs in the process.

Managing director of Bee Health, Steve Ryan commented: “The health supplement market is experiencing a period of significant growth and we have invested in staff and machinery to ensure we are more adaptable to capitalise on this.”

In the last 12 months Bee Health has invested £1.4m in new plant and machinery, including an additional softgel plant making it the largest food supplement manufacturer in the UK.

Mr Ryan added: “Being a UK manufacturer has been a key strength in our growth as leading brands want assurance of quality, traceability and we produce to the highest standards in the world.”

Holland & Barrett, the UK’s leading health retailer, recently awarded Bee Health ‘Supplier of the Year’ and the company specialises in private label and contract manufacturing for some of the world’s largest retailers.

Established in 1992, Bee Health has grown from a small family run business specialising in bee-derived ingredients, to become a leading manufacturer of vitamins and supplements. The company continues to develop and produce the original Bee Health Propolis products that inspired its name, along with a number of other high profile and popular health food brands, including FSC Supplements, vitamins and superfoods.

Bee Health boasts BRC Grade A and is Halal, Kosher and Soil Association Certificated.
